About Purely Essential

Learn about Purely Essential's history. Discover why I started making my own natural skincare products for my family, and why I decided to make it my mission to make quality, natural products affordable to families.

Mission

Purely Essential is a home-based business run by a mother dedicated to providing quality, all natural skincare and hair care products for the whole family. All products are handmade with quality ingredients in their most natural form to harness all of the nourishing qualities nature has to bestow! All of our butters, oils, and botanicals are organic and sustainably sourced. The products I make are cruelty-free and never tested on animals.

History

My journey into natural bath and body products began when I became a mother. As all mothers, I sought to do what was best for my son. This began with the plan to make all of his baby food and led to me making many of the personal and household products that my entire family uses now.

After investigating the ingredients in many everyday products I quickly realized just how many unnecessary, sometimes counter-productive and potentially harmful, ingredients they really contained. Then I tried to shop for a more natural alternative and it turned out that most of that was either green-washed labels with the same old junk or it cost a small fortune! After that I began making our soap and lotion and quickly realized I had a real passion for finding other things in my bathroom closet to replace.

I strive to make nourishing products from simple, straightforward, and healthful ingredients and I believe that they should be affordable to all, even if that means I'll never be a millionaire. After all, your skin is your largest organ and it absorbs everything you put on it from your lotion, to your hairspray; treat it well.
